Planting Trees

Jerry was on a road trip on his motorcycle. He stopped to eat the sandwich he’d brought. While he sat in

the grass on one side of the road, he watched two city employees working on the other side. One would dig a hole and the other

would follow behind and fill it up. Jerry was curious. “How come you’re digging a hole only to fill it up right away?”

“Matt called in sick today,” one of the men answered. Jerry asked, “Who’s Matt?” “He plants the trees.”
