In the olden days

In the olden days, motorcycle enthusiasts had to choose between keeping cool and avoiding road rash. I bet everyone reading this can remember seeing some soon-to-be-sorry person riding in a T-shirt with ripped off sleeves and jeans cut off above the knee. Thank goodness we can all make better choices nowadays.

The ADV Air Jacket, shown here in black https://eagleleather.com/collections/mens-mesh-jackets/products/adv-air-mens-mesh-jkt-black, protects the torso with a very durable, breathable poly mesh. This three-quarter length textile jacket is designed to be light, to reduce the fatigue that riders can experience. It has abrasion-resistant impact panels for your protection. CE Level 1 Knox elbow and shoulder protection is included, as is a foam back pad. A CE Level 1 back pad is available and sold separately.

The neoprene rolled collar edging is soft but durable. Collar and cuffs are lined with microfiber. Waist and cuffs are adjustable and there are four sleeve take-ups for best fit and comfort. The removable liners are carried in a back pocket.

The jacket has MOLLE strips at the shoulders and on the front center panels so you can use MOLLE-compatible accessories. Reflective accents make you more visible in traffic.

A removable, waterproof, breathable liner will protect you from rain; it can be worn on the inside or the outside of the jacket and has color-coded attachment tabs. A removable, insulated 100-gram liner will keep you warm on a chilly morning or evening and also has color-coded tabs. Both  liners have pockets for media and map pockets as does the permanent lining material.

And, this jacket is on sale right now!

Also on sale is the Women’s Contour Air Mesh jacket shown here: https://eagleleather.com/collections/ladies-mesh-mc-jackets/products/womens-contour-air-mesh-jkt. Women will appreciate the forearm take-ups, zipped stretch expansion gussets at the hips, waist adjusters, zippered cuffs, and the two-way front zipper which let you customize the fit and also adjust whether you use layers or not. The jacket is waist length and is designed with women riders in mind, and that includes lots of pockets—two zippered shallow pockets outside in the lower front and inside zippered pocket at the left chest as well as a vertically zipped pocket. A waterproof, breathable liner has color-coded attachment tabs so you can don it quickly if it begins to rain.

The main fabric used in the construction of this jacket is poly mesh. Reflective accents add to your visibility. For your comfort, the rolled collar has a soft, durable neoprene edging. Abrasion-resistant impact panels are on the elbows. The Knox elbow protection is CE Level 1 and the shoulder and back pads are foam.

Pants also can be “air-conditioned.” For women, consider the Cleo Elite mesh pants shown here: https://eagleleather.com/products/ladies-cleo-elite-mesh-pants. They feature the FreeAir™ mesh shell with height-adjustable CE-rated knee protectors and DYNAX™ seat and hip reinforcements. The high-density hip padding is removable. Inseam leg zippers make these pants easy to put on and the Sure Fit™ waistband is adjustable to eliminate bunching. The lower leg is made of melt-resistant material. INNO-LITE® Ultra Reflective knee panels and reflective print on the side of the lower legs give you 360-degree reflective visibility. The pants have two external pockets and an 8-inch zipper to connect to the matching jacket.
