Memorial Day – The Start of Summer, a Time to Reflect

More than just another holiday, Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the true meaning of the day. It is a day where the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces are remembered. If you’re looking for a way to honor our service members on this Memorial Day, consider joining The Olympia Thunder Run, beginning at Eagle Leather Lakewood on May 26 at 9:30 a.m. According to the ride's Facebook page, the "Olympia Thunder Run is a motorcycle ride to the Vietnam Memorial Wall located on the grounds of the Washington State Capital in Olympia. The purpose of the ride is to raise money for the Fisher House located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord." The suggested donation is $10 for a single rider and $15 for a couple.
